THE NEW VOLUNTEER ONLINE PLATFORM

The time is finally here! Volunteer Northeast Mississippi's online volunteer recruitment tool is ready for you.

Go to the Get Connected website at
http://volunteernems.galaxydigital.com
and register your organization. By registering, you are creating your account and letting visitors to the site (potential volunteers) find out about the work you do.

We will not begin advertising the site for a few more weeks, so if you have any volunteer opportunities coming up in the very near future, you may not want to post them. But if you know of something happening in April or after, you may want to go ahead and post that opportunity.

This tool should go a long way toward increasing volunteerism and promoting your nonprofit.

If you have any trouble using Get Connected, please contact Rebecca at 662-432-0158 or rebecca@unitedwaynems.org.

PROMOTE YOUR NONPROFIT

Keep Tupelo Beautiful and Rotary Club of Tupelo will be sponsoring 10 for Tupelo on Saturday, March 23. While the event is for cleaning up and beautifying the community, it is also a day to promote volunteerism across the board.

KTB is inviting ALL nonprofits to set up a table or booth at Fairpark that day from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (or whatever hours suit you.) This is an excellent way to spread the word about the work you do and the volunteer opportunities you have available.

There will be music, food, t-shirts, and children's activities at Fairpark. It's a day set aside for our community to come together to work and play. Come be a part of it!

For more information, contact Kathryn Rhea at ktb@tupeloms.gov or 901-871-3353.
